Highlights
National Park – The Vjosa Wild River National Park was established by the Albanian Council of Ministers in March 2023. The park protects the entire course of the Vjosa River and its four tributaries (Drino, Kardhiq, Bënça and Shushica) over an area of 12,727 hectares. The ecosystem hosts an incredible biodiversity: over 1,100 animal species, including 13 animal and 2 plant species classified as globally threatened on the IUCNTM Red List.

Vjosa Rafting – Tour itinerary (day tour)
- 09:45 am Pick up at your hotel, alternatively you can park your car at the rafting base
- 10:00 am Start with the four-wheel drive vehicle to the river bank, arrival approx. 15 min. later
- 2.5-hour rafting tour over 11 km on the wild Vjosa with approx. 20 min. stop for a break and photos. Stop for a break with photos. You will raft the section between Kaludh and Qilarisht
The group consists of 6–7 people per boat, plus 1 guide for each boat.
– In summer, the level of difficulty is 2-3 (out of 6)
– Rafting is a physical activity. You cannot raft if you have serious health problems.
Vjosa Kayaking – Tour itinerary (multi day tour)
- We offer different tour options, ranging from 4 to 7 days along the Vjosa river
- Everything you need is included in the offer – kayaks, transport, tents, catering
- Tours can run from the Greek border along the river to the Adriatic Sea. For kayak tours a group of at least 4 participants is required, just send us an enquiry

- An extra pair of trainers that can get wet (for rafting, kayaking and the river hike)
- Quick-drying travel towel
- Swimwear, plenty of spare underwear and clothes that can get wet
- Head torch, sun hat, sunglasses, sun cream
- Refillable water bottle, mosquito repellent
- Breathable, lightweight, waterproof clothing, windbreaker
